🪔 Agarbatti & Incense Sticks for Puja, Meditation and Everyday Calm

No Indian morning feels finished until the incense sticks are lit. Agarbatti does more than scent a room — it marks the start of the puja, settles the mind before jaap or meditation, and carries the fragrance offering to the deity. What matters is what the stick is made of: a hand-rolled agarbatti on a bamboo core with natural resins, gums and flower extracts burns evenly and leaves a clean, lingering aroma, while cheap chemical-dipped sticks smell harsh and give off heavy smoke.

Our range covers more than thirty fragrances across floral, fruity, resin and deity-series agarbatti — mogra, rose, jasmine, marigold and lavender for daily worship; frankincense, bakhoor, kasturi and patchouli for meditation and evening dhyan; and Krishna Dwarka, Shiva, Mahalakshmi and Vrindavan Tulsi for specific deities and festival days. Every pack is fresh-stocked so the fragrance is at full strength when it reaches you. You can buy incense sticks online here with free shipping on orders above ₹499 and pan-India delivery.

Frequently Asked Questions

Mogra, rose, jasmine and sandalwood are the traditional choices for daily worship — light, familiar fragrances that suit a morning aarti without overpowering a small puja room. Many families keep two or three and rotate them by day and deity.
Agarbatti is incense rolled onto a thin bamboo stick and lit at the tip. Dhoop is bamboo-free — a cone, stick or loose resin burnt directly or on charcoal, giving thicker smoke and a stronger aroma. Agarbatti suits daily aarti; dhoop is used for deeper purification and longer pujas.
Frankincense, patchouli, kasturi and bakhoor are the usual picks — earthy, grounding fragrances that hold steady through a long sitting rather than fading in ten minutes. Light one stick, let the first sharp minute pass, and begin.
A standard agarbatti burns for roughly 30 to 45 minutes depending on thickness and airflow. Keep it away from direct fan or window draught — a steady, slow burn gives a cleaner fragrance and less smoke.
Place the agarbatti stand to the right of the deity, and circle the lit stick three or seven times before the idol during dhoop aarti before setting it down. Never stick agarbatti into rice, fruit or directly into the mandir shelf — always use a proper holder to catch the ash.
Keep them in a closed box or zip pouch, away from sunlight, heat and damp. Stored well, agarbatti holds its fragrance for a year or more; left open in a humid room, it fades within weeks. Store different fragrances separately so they do not blend.
Burn one stick at a time in a room with some ventilation — a window or door partly open is enough. Natural, resin-based agarbatti produces far less irritating smoke than chemical-dipped sticks, which is the main reason to buy quality incense for daily use.
Yes — a mixed set of fragrances is a popular, easy gift for Diwali, housewarmings and festival hampers, and pairs well with a diya, thali or idol.
Yes, we ship pan-India with same-day dispatch, and shipping is free on orders above ₹499. Packs are sealed so the fragrance does not escape in transit.
